BMW Motorsport's customer racing engagement.

Global BMW ambassadors. BMW Motorsport's customer racing engagement.

BMW Motorsport offers customer teams around the world an extensive range of cars to successfully contest races around the world as part of the BMW family. But being part of the BMW family is much more than just driving a BMW. No matter whether you are a motorsport rookie, an ambitious racer or GT specialist with the highest standards, BMW Motorsport has the right car for every level of national and international racing.

The customer racing range.

The BMW M6 GT3 is the top of the range. The victory at the 2016 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, as well as numerous other wins, impressively displayed the potential of the highly developed GT3 car in its debut season. The BMW M235i Racing makes it affordable to enter motorsport with a car that meets the highest technical specifications. As of 2018, the BMW M4 GT4 will complete the range of BMW Motorsport customer cars. It is aimed at prospective buyers in the booming GT4 category market.

The GT racing flagship.

In 2016, the BMW M6 GT3 replaced the BMW Z4 GT3, which has been in action since 2010. The car has been the top model in the BMW Motorsport customer racing line-up since 2016. It is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The power train has dry sump lubrication and generates up to 585 hp – with the whole car weighing less than 1,300 kilograms. Technical characteristics of the BMW M6 GT3 are also the drive concept, six-speed sequential racing transmission, and high-performance motorsport electronics.

Strong motorsport genes.

The BMW M235i Racing – a production-based coupé – meets all the basic requirements of a successful entry-level racing car. The motorsport genes are also easily recognisable in the production version of the BMW M235i Coupé, courtesy of the aerodynamically optimised body design. It is propelled by the most powerful petrol engine developed so far for a BMW M Performance Automobile: a six-cylinder in-line engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. With a capacity of 2,979 ccm, the racing version generates 333 hp (245 kW).

The new recreational racer.

2017 is dominated by the meticulous preparation of a brand-new car: the BMW M4 GT4 is set to make its mark on the booming GT4 category next year. Based closely on the production model, and yet still a racing car of the very highest standard, the BMW M4 GT4 sees BMW Motorsport round off its strong range of products for customer racing.
