Two podiums for Yelloly.

BMW works driver Nick Yelloly and FIST-Team AAI claimed more podiums in the China GT Championships. The fourth race weekend of the season in Shanghai saw the Brit and Lin Yu finish runners-up at the wheel of the #90 BMW M6 GT3 in both the Saturday and Sunday races. In doing so, Yelloly tightened his grip on the top spot in the Drivers’ Championship. BMW was also successful in the GT4 class: Wang Hao came home third in the #999 Master Champ BMW M4 GT4 in Saturday’s race. He then crossed the finish line eighth on Sunday.

Second place gives BimmerWorld Racing the championship lead.

James Clay and Devin Jones had two reasons to celebrate after the four-hour race in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Watkins Glen. The two BimmerWorld Racing drivers finished runners-up in the #82 BMW M4 GT4. This means Clay and Jones travel to the next race as overall leaders in the GS class. The next round takes place in Mosport. In total, three BMW M4 GT4s competed in Watkins Glen. Bill Auberlen, Robby Foley and Vin Barletta finished sixth in the #96 BMW M4 GT4 run by Turner Motorsport. Greg Liefooghe and Henry Schmitt ended the race in 14th place in the GS class in the #88 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M4 GT4.

Three podiums for BMW drivers.

The BMW M4 GT4 made three appearances on the podium at the fourth race weekend of this season’s GT4 European Series in Misano. In Saturday’s race, the #111 BMW M4 GT4 run by the RN Vision STS team crossed the finish line in second place. Gabriele Piana and Marius Zug had shared the driving duties. They were followed over the line in third place by Simon Knap and Alec Udell in the #25 MDM Motorsport BMW M4 GT4. Ricardo van der Ende and Euan McKay then finished runners-up for Ekris Motorsport in the Sunday race. The fifth race weekend of the GT4 European Series takes place from 12th to 14th July in Zandvoort.

Visser stars in the Senkyr Motorsport BMW M6 GT3.

BMW Motorsport Junior Beitske Visser will race for the Senkyr Motorsport team in the next three rounds of the International GT Open. She will share the cockpit of the BMW M6 GT3 with Richard Gonda. Gonda drove the Senkyr Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 alongside BMW works drivers Joel Eriksson and Mikkel Jensen in 2018. The first outing for the Visser/Gonda partnership will be at the Red Bull Ring in two weeks. Before then, Visser will contest round four of the W Series at the Norisring. The BMW Motorsport Junior currently lies second in the Drivers’ Championship.
