EINSATZGEBIETE DES BMW M6 GT3.

Europe.

The BMW M6 GT3 appears in all of the top European racing series for GT cars. Highlights are the 24-hour classics at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps. In Germany, the car is in action within the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring and the ADAC GT Masters. The car also features in other European series, including the Blancpain GT Series, Italian GT Championship, International GT Open and Eset V4 Cup.

Asia.

The BMW M6 GT3 is also in action in Asia. The highlight is the FIA GT World Cup in Macau. Besides this, BMW Team Studie and the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri also regularly line up with the BMW M6 GT3 in the Japanese Super GT Championship. The car also appears in the Asian Le Mans Series and the Blancpain GT Series Asia.

Australia.

The BMW M6 GT3 made its debut at the 12 Hours of Bathurst in 2017. The race at the Mount Panorama Circuit, located roughly 200 kilometres west of Sydney, enjoys legendary status. As well as the two cars run by BMW Team SRM, the Australian Marc GT team also fielded a BMW M6 GT3. Walkenhorst Motorsport also took part in the 12-hour race with one car. The BMW M6 GT3 also contests the entire season in the Australian GT Championship.

North America

Turner Motorsport runs a BMW M6 GT3 in the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC). And with great success: in its debut season, the car has proven that it also has what it takes to win races outside Europe. The first success on North American soil came courtesy of Bret Curtis and BMW works driver Jens Klingmann in the BMW M6 GT3’s sixth race, the IWSC race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. And the success story goes on.

BMW Motorsport in North America.

Unlike the BMW M6 GT3, the BMW M6 GTLM run by BMW Team RLL must not have ABS. At 1,250 kg when empty, the BMW M6 GTLM is also about 50 kilograms lighter and has a slightly longer wheelbase.

THE BMW M6 COUPÉ.

The production version of the BMW M6 Coupé provided BMW Motorsport with the perfect base for developing a GT racing car.

GT Highlights.

260 km/h through the urban canyons. Through Fuchsröhre and Brünnchen. Flat-out through “Eau Rouge”: the BMW M6 GT3 faces certain challenges that provide that extra boosts of adrenalin. These include the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and at Spa, as well as the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.

Customer Racing.

They are ambassadors for the BMW brand – a key part of the BMW family: private drivers and teams, who do battle for points and victories in BMW cars. One particular highlight for BMW Motorsport customers is the BMW Sports Trophy competition, which is in its 56th year in 2017.

Junior Programme.

This year, BMW Motorsport will have been promoting talented young drivers for the 40 years. Building on this long tradition, a new, multi-level junior concept was launched in 2014. This has been expanded consistently since: the BMW Motorsport Junior programme.
