BMW M235I RACING: POWER PACKAGE FOR NEWCOMERS TO MOTOR RACING.

Where to see it.

The BMW M235i Racing is by no means only popular in Germany. Specific BMW M235i Racing Cup classes also exist in Belgium and China. Furthermore, the car is also in action at endurance races around the world within the 24h Series. The BMW M235i Racing also takes its place on the grid in the North American Pirelli World Challenge.

Germany.

Since 2014, BMW Motorsport has offered a specific cup class for the BMW M235i Racing within the VLN and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, to serve as a platform, on which to promote mass sport. This cup class does not represent a one-make cup, rather BMW is providing a specific cup class and a cost-efficient, entry-level model, in the form of the BMW M235i Racing, and a fascinating stage for amateur motor racing. Events in the “Green Hell” – including the iconic 24-hour race – allow BMW customers to go head to head and demonstrate their driving ability with the same ultra-modern material at the most difficult racetrack in the world.

Belgium.

As well as the VLN, there is also a Belgian BMW M235i Racing Cup. The races are held at iconic circuits like Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit Park Zandvoort and TT Circuit Assen. The longest race lasts six hours and 40 minutes.

China.

The BMW M235i Racing Cup China made its debut in 2016. More than ten of BMW’s entry-level racing cars line up at some of the top racetracks in Asia in this cup. Former BMW Motorsport Junior and current BMW GT driver Jesse Krohn made a guest start and coached the gentlemen drivers from the Far East at the finale of the 2016 season in Shanghai, which shared the bill with the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).

North America.

The BMW M235i Racing is also causing quite a stir in the TC class of the Pirelli World Challenge. Over the course of the season’s twelve races, the car finds itself in thrilling battles with the opposition from Mazda, Nissan and Audi. The races are held at some of the best-known circuits in North America, including Lime Rock Park, the Virginia International Raceway and the Utah Motorsports Campus. Champion in the TC class is Toby Grahovec, who drives a BMW M235i Racing.

THE BMW M240I COUPÉ.

The motorsport genes are also easily recognisable in the production version of the BMW M240i Coupé, courtesy of the aerodynamically optimised body design. It is propelled by the most powerful petrol engine developed so far for a BMW M Performance Automobile.

BMW M235i RACING CUP.

The BMW M235i Racing is in action in its own one-make cup classes in Germany, Belgium and China.
