A success story.

BMW TEAM RLL.A success story.

The collaboration between BMW and Bobby Rahal began in 2009, when the team competed with BMW works power for the first time – and enjoyed major successes right from the very start. With the BMW M3 GT2, BMW Team RLL won a total of five titles between 2010 and 2012. Then came the BMW Z4 GTE, which celebrated two wins in 2013, and in 2015 – now under the name BMW Z4 GTLM – brought home its first three wins in the United SportsCar Championship, which was launched in 2014. The Ohio team also claimed countless wins and podiums with the BMW M6 GTLM and the BMW M8 GTE. It wasn’t only as team principal that Bobby Rahal celebrated a host of successes; in his active time as a racing driver he won the legendary Indy 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. But Rahal doesn’t manage the team alone. The abbreviation RLL stands for three owners: Rahal, TV presenter David Letterman and entrepreneur Mike Lanigan. The team HQ is in Ohio, from where operations are coordinated in agreement with BMW of North America and BMW M Motorsport.
