The BMW M6 GT3 is the pinnacle of the range on offer. Numerous successes have already served to underline the enormous potential of the GT3 car. The BMW M6 GT3 will be replaced by the new BMW M4 GT3 top-of-the-range model from the 2022 season. Since 2018, the BMW M4 GT4 has reigned triumphant around the world in the booming GT4 category and was selected as 'Race Car of the Year' at the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards 2018 after numerous successes. The BMW M2 CS Racing rounds off the portfolio of cars. It allows BMW M Motorsport to offer customers an affordable entry point into motor racing.

The GT racing flagship.

In its debut season, the car won the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps at the first attempt in 2016, continuing the success story around the globe and then celebrating a fabulous one-two result at the same location two years later. Last year, the top model in the customer racing range from BMW M Motorsport was able to top even those successes. At the 50th edition of the 24h Nürburgring, it claimed the 20th overall win for the BMW brand. The Intercontinental GT Challenge also saw a one-two result at the Indianapolis 8h and the title was secured with the second win of the season at the Kyalami 9h. The car is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower turbo technology. The power train has dry sump lubrication and generates up to 585 HP - with a vehicle weight of less than 1,300 kilogrammes.

2018 marked the first year of competition for  BMW M Motorsport customer teams, and the BMW M4 GT4 completed an impressive debut season. Overall, there were 33 class wins and and nearly 100 podium finishes. At the end of that season, the car was rewarded for these impressive successes with the 'Race Car of the Year' title at the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards. It proceeded to justify that distinction over the following years. The use of proven series technology and innovative developments from other BMW M Motorsport race cars has proved to be a guarantee of maximised performance and reliability.

The new BMW M2 CS Racing sees BMW M Motorsport continue its tradition of close-to-production customer racing cars. Just like its two predecessors, the BMW M235i Racing and the BMW M240i Racing, the BMW M2 CS Racing also provides ambitious teams and drivers with a way into motor racing. It delivers convincing vehicle performance, with the impressive performance you would expect of a thoroughbred race car at an affordable price. The BMW M2 CS is the perfect basis for the new entry-level model (combined fuel usage l/100km: 10.4 – 9.4 (NEFZ); 10.1 – 9.2 (WLTP); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 238 – 214 (NEFZ); 229 – 210 (WLTP)), a special model from BMW M GmbH.*

New icon of BMW M Motorsport.

The BMW M4 GT3 enhances the range of customer racing products in the BMW M Motorsport programme with a new top model. The BMW M4 GT3 is replacing the BMW M6 GT3, which has been competing successfully around the world since 2016. As of the 2022 season, privateer drivers and teams from all over the world will have the opportunity to battle for wins and titles in this top customer racing car based on the next generation of the BMW M4. Between now and then, the new GT3 model will have to complete an intensive test and development phase.

BMW M Motorsport provides direct sales and associated consultancy services for more technically complex vehicles, such as the BMW M6 GT3. A total of four BMW M Motorsport spare parts trucks guarantee parts supply for the BMW M6 GT3, the BMW M4 GT4 and the BMW M2 CS Racing at European racetracks, allowing coverage of simultaneous events. BMW M Motorsport customers have access to support engineers working at circuits worldwide.

The BMW Sports Trophy is a means of supporting private drivers and teams, who represent the BMW brand in different series and at renowned racing events around the world. Every top-ten result with a BMW race car at selected events scores points towards the overall standings, the winner of which can look forward to a healthy amount of prize money at the end of the year.


The BMW M Motorsport engineers achieved a true masterpiece with the BMW M4 GT4. In its first season in customer hands, the GT4 car was crowned “Race Car of the Year” at the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards. This was followed by many more successes in the last two years.
